Happy EARLY Thanksgiving!

mr beac and I will be traveling for the holiday starting tomorrow, so I just wanted to jump the Tofurkey* a little...

I am truly thankful for this forum, a peaceful and tasty harbor when the seas on the main boards get too rough. I feel it is my duty as a citizen to remain informed and active on the issues of the day and DU is a wonderful place to do that. But it's nice to know that, when my blood starts boiling over corporate personhood and other such outrages, there's a place to come where the only thing boiling is in a recipe.

* (Our vegetarian meal will be featuring Quorn's take on faux bird, which I infinitely prefer over Tofurkey-- but 'Tofurkey' sounds so much funnier, despite tasting vile. ;) )
