Whatever happened to the cold-cuts labeled as "Danish ham?"
That was always my favorite kind of sandwich filler for lunch, because it was almost totally devoid of fat and gristle. I don't see it around anywhere nowadays. What happened to it?
It was sliced ham, in plastic packages, that was stored with the other pre-sliced meats. It made a much nicer sandwich than any of the sandwich ham I can find these days.
and usually don't haunt the deli section but you might want to have a conversation with the manager of your local grocery about the possibility of them ordering some. It does work sometimes, a couple of well directed emails and I was able to get the local grocery chain to begin stocking the organic milk I prefer over Horizon. :hi:
5. Still available here. It is in the fresh sliced deli section.
I buy it frequently. Around here, it is the same type of deli ham as the Polish ham. I love it and when ordering, I ask for it to be cut thin. Much better for sandwiches that way.
