I had a delightful day today

Hippywife was so gracious as to pick up 2 gallons of REAL milk for me and we met in a small town kinda at the mid-point from where we live. We dined at a smokehouse with another friend of ours from the food coop. The conversation covered a multitude of subjects. What a great way to break up the work accomplished before and after.

I am getting ready to make fresh mozzarella with one gallon of this wonderful milk. The other gallon is going to be frosty cold for chocolate chip cookies for dessert.

Some kinda light pasta dish with a salad of fresh greens and artichokes and bread is what I'm thinkin' for dinner.

Thanks, HW, for a grand afternoon. It is so nice to finally put a face with the personality. I can see this becoming a re-occurring event.

:hi:  :hi:

It would be really fun to get together again. I'm thinking of hitting the Farmer's Market there when it starts up again on Tuesdays. It's a lot easier to get to than the one in Midtown.

It was a good lunch but that white bun like to put me to sleep by the time I got home. LOL

With all the bumper stickers on our vehicles, I wonder what the locals were thinkin'?

All of my milk is in the freezer. I still have some goat cheese from WF and a half gallon of OV milk for yogurt so it'll keep.

Your dinner sounds really good, too.

:hi:
