I Gots a Wine to Recommend
Christian Moueix Merlot / Bordeaux 2003

I'm drinking some right now, in fact. I'm really not a merlot person but my wine seller recommended it, so I picked up a bottle. It's a little fruity, fairly smooth, and not entirely boring for a merlot. $9-$12 range. Apparently this guy is a very hot winemaker and put this out for us little people.

1. Sounds good to me since it's smooth
The other day I broke a bottle of port while getting a bag of onions from a kitchen cabinet. Only 1/4 of the bottle was left. I had it for a couple of years.

It's Jonesy Tawny Port from Australia. I'm going to get another bottle since it's so good. A sweet wine for a tiny glass. Every once in a while it hits the spot.

When I go get another I'll look for your Merlot suggestion. Fruity & smooth is what I like.

2. Sounds Yum
I have a ruby port I have yet to break open, from a local (Tenn.) wineyard.
