1. Yeeeoowwwtch!
I thought I was getting robbed at 59 cents per. Those are huge lemons, though, and the ones I got were pretty small.

I am getting used to limes. Those are a lot cheaper than lemons around here.

5. Lime chicken
Prepare plain chicken any way, broiled, roasted, grilled. Arrange on a plate and squeeze fresh lime all over. Plop the spent lime wedges around the chicken pieces for color and serve. It's so delicious and easy. A Frugal Gormet recipe from his first cookbook.

It's mostly just the two of us but I like to still keep the lime wedges to rub on the chicken as we eat to keep the flavor going strong.

2. When I was in the house for 8 years I had a lemon tree out front.
NEVER could find a way to use them all, lol. Now with prices like these, they are an infrequent purchase.

3. I bought six today
at two fer a dolla at the farm market. Sometimes can get them 3 fer. I did buy organic red plums today at the grocery store that were .10/lb less than the conventional ones. I thought that was kinda strange.

4. Ouch. If I could ship them to you, my backyard ones would cost about 40 cents each in postage.
One thing I love about living in CA -- haven't bought a lemon in 5 years, or a lime in the past two years.
