It seems to have changed since I had it last. It has fewer nuts and some sort of white puffy things that I do not remember in it before.
I moved last fall to a new city and the nearest Costco is a two hour drive now. I went home over the weekend and planned to get a few goodies to take back.
The price was lower than I remembered and I thought the granola looked different, but bought it anyway thinking it would be fine.
I have learned to not get too attached to items I find there as they favorites often change, but not the granola.....it was a staple....
I wonder if I could get my hands on the old recipe?
1. The white puffy things might be some sort of dried yogurt
thing, the same thing they use for yogurt covered nuts.
You're not the only one who has noticed the change and I'm sure people are working on duplicating it, but nobody has posted it yet at any of the usual sites.
What I'd suggest is going to a local health food store and tasting their bulk granolas for something to tide you over until some enterprising soul duplicates the Costco stuff.
I can't help you because the only granola I eat is my own coconut granola.
It is good to know that I am not the only one who noticed it had changed. It has been so long since I had the stuff, I wish I would have paid more attention to the ingredient list. I don't recall what was in it.
Coconut granola sounds fantastic. I haven't made granola yet.... but i have a jones for the stuff and I am going to give it a try.
