Boston Market Gazpacho - DO NOT BUY
I think they merged or something with Shaw's supermarkets, or at least Shaws now carries their stuff. I don't like Shaws, except it's the closer and therefore it wins by dint of convenience.

Anyway, Shaw's pre-made sandwiches always sucked, but one day they started carrying a line of Boston Market stuff. An improvement, but still not terrific.

Today I saw they had gazpacho - being a thorough gazpacho lover, I got a bowl (for $4.99).

It sucked. It is the worst stuff ever. I am seriously considering throwing it out. It tastes like canned tomatoes and it has chickpeas in it or something for chrissake, and is just inedible. I am pretty flexible as to styles of gazpacho, but I can't eat this stuff. I've tried it twice and each time I've told my wife this is the worst gazpacho ever.

I'm just going to get out the blender and make my own. Screw this.

1. I don't generally buy or eat stuff like that. If I am gonna have
store-bought soup, I just buy generic chicken noodle knowing it is utter crap but will make me feel better if I get the flu.

Otherwise, homemade from scratch soups are MUCH better for you and MUCH better-tasting. Seriously.

2. Try the Cooks' Illustrated Recipe

I've seen a form of it floating around online, though there's a typo where 3 tomatoes becomes 3 pounds of tomatoes.

It makes a fantastic base to play with.

3. Oh, I can make a decent gazpacho

but i just happened to see it and was in the mood. Most store-bought ones are okay, if not really good, but this was realy inedible.
