Anybody used an Electrolux DLX (Magic Mill) mixer? Been...
reading about it as the greatest thing ever, but it is a bit pricey.

1. Is this it?

Looks interesting. Has all the attachments anyone would ever want to own.
8 quart capacity, 600 watts, weighs 24.7 lbs, 10.5X12 inch footprint(my approximation), 13.5 inch height. $499.00

In comparison a KitchenAid 6 quart stand mixer (575 watts) weighs 22.8 lbs. and has a 11X14 inch footprint, 16.5 inch height. $399.99

I like the design. If I didn't own a KitchenAid I would definitely consider this.

2. Yup, that one. Been reading that it...
eats KitchenAid for lunch.

(At that price, it should.)

3. If I had a family to bake bread for
I'd consider this over the high end Kitchenaid only because of the larger capacity. Hobart mixers can occasionally be found used, but they're even pricier than this one.

This looks like it fills the niche between the Kitchenaid and commercial Hobart floor mixers. I don't think I'd use this one in a commercial bakery, but I might find it handy if I had six kids.
