Monday (9/11) Hair Of The Dog Edition of What's For Supper?
Last night I found out the SPCA had a Schnauzer at their facilities and we have been wanting to get a companion for the one we already have. I have looked at Schnauzer Rescue and other things but we just did not find the right one for our family. I was sure this was the dog for us and I put in an application. I called them today and they said they had not received my application but they would look since they had gotten so many applications for this one dog!!! My hopes were dashed. I resubmitted my application and we actually got the dog - just in time for my birthday tomorrow. This edition is for my new doggy Zoey.

I found out we had been accepted on the way to pick the boys up from school so supper was thrown off schedule. We are having pork roast (yes, again!), homemade mashed potatoes and corn.

What's on your table tonight?

6. Thanks, AZ.
She is fitting in already. And our other furbaby is delighted beyond belief! I think he is overwhelming her! We are all very happy.

Sounds like a nice simple supper. Mine was interrupted by my lawyer....I forgot we had an appointment for him to call. Cold pork roast is just not the same. *sigh*

I STILL have not made your peach cobbler. I have all the ingredients. Tomorrow is my birthday meal and we are eating out so I will not make it then either. I think I will make it on Wednesday.

7. Yuuuum, beefsteak tomatoes!
I wouldn't even need anything else.

I will see about posting pix of my baby here this weekend. She is so pretty. She has big ears!!! She is very cute. Do you have furbabies?

11. We don't have any more fuzzy ones around the house
We used to have a beautiful German Shep and several cats. Now we're empty nesters inside the house. I feed the birds and anything else that can scrounge from the feeders or on the ground!

16. meatloaf, mashers, zuchini granny style, garden beans
Our sophomore is running varsity cross country this year, and his appetite is off the charts. So we're having to add extra side dishes to supper. I made the tatoes with sour cream, butter and whole cream. Gotta get at least 3,000 calories in the kid every day.
