Has anyone ever researched "Swiss Diamond" cookware?
Midnight Armadillo's thread on cookware got me to looking around again since I need another fry pan.

I came across the Swiss Diamond Cookware. I've given up on non stick coated cookware but this product looks pretty amazing. It can go into an oven up to 500 degrees, can take metal utensils and can also go ito the dishwasher. The description of the diamond coating and process is here:

2. Even with diamond dust put into the mixture, it's still teflon
and it will still give off fumes at frying temperatures.

Besides, all the buzzwords in the advertising (nano technology? Give me a break) pinned my BS meter.

These pans look heavier gauge than the ones at Wally World. However, well seasoned Calphalon or other equivalent will be just as nonstick and won't give off toxic fumes.

3. That "nano" business had me squinting my eyes
I sent them an email and asked them if the cookware is safe around birds in a home. We'll see how long it takes them to get back.

What I really want is another stainless fry pan since a well made stainless is a one-two swipe with a paper towel and into the dishwasher it goes.
