Who controls your state legislature?
NC: the Dems control both houses, and strenghtened their positions.

Although we had a net gain of a seat in the House for the first time since 1972.

2. Georgia, the repubs
But it is worse than that, many Dems are transfering to the repub party, they are probably DLC, still.

I don't know how others feel about the DLC, but they certainly are not 'progressives', might as well be republican for all the good they do.

4. We have some Dems that have crossed over as well
We think they should be forced to give $ back or some form of awful punishment for doing so.

5. In SC we have a saying...
put your smart child into the family business and your dumb one into politics.
Examples: Strom Thurmond, David Beasley, DeMint, Lindsay Graham, Floyd Spence... the list of repubs in this category just goes on and on and on...

Howdy SCDem!!!

:hi:

7. Howdy!
What's worse than just the sheer number of Repug control of both sides of SC Govt is that I made a list yesterday of just on the Senate side home many districts were not contested by a Dem candidate and there were 14 Districts were no Dems even ran. In all there were 22 out of 46 districts that had only one party running and I think that isn't too good of a sign for how democracy is going here in SC and the US whether you're a Dem or Repug. Don't you agree?

9. NC, too - and let's not forget that
Dems generally run the table in Council of State races and usually hold a nearly 50-50 split in Congress, as well.

Still, we are that most contemptible of entities, a Red State.

for the first time in many years, they took over this last election. BAH! UGH! But we have a democrat as governor - even if he is completely invisible.
