Snow Leopard may be hosing some of my (bootcamp) Vista settings
Upgraded to Snow Leopard. Vista booted fine but with some settings lost. I checked whether my printer still worked in Vista: it did

A few weeks later (sometime after the first Snow Leopard update), booting in Vista produced an initial error message that Vista was damaged and the install disk was needed to repair it -- after which it booted anyway, but couldn't find some drivers: most notably the HP printer drivers. I haven't tried to reinstall them yet, but a reboot didn't yield the damaged error message

Perhaps the first SL update (fixing some HP printer issues) knocked out the existing Vista drivers?

1. Reinstalled drivers in Vista to no avail. Vista continued to report it could not find drivers,
even with newest drivers downloaded from web

Printer worked in both Snow Leopard and Vista after original Snow Leopard Update

Now OSX cannot find the printer. Deleting and reinstallation from the original disk does not help

Maybe reinstallation from downloaded drivers on dmgs?

2. This turned into a nightmare of uninstallation and reinstallation in various operating systems
Not sure, but I suspect the SL update 1 may be involved in the problem

3. So are you saying you can't print from the Vista partition?
Is there a way to uninstall the update?

4. Vista (under Boot Camp) suddenly couldn't find the drivers for the printer, and Snow Leopard
suddenly couldn't find the printer. I uninstalled and reinstalled various versions of the drivers, several times. Finally, everything works again. I really doubt the update could be uninstalled: if I had to do something like that, I'd restore everything from the last time machine backup before the update and try to copy over critical work files from after the update

Hope you're doing well! I tried to send Loungers to your blog site as hecklers but failed completely: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=105&topic_id=9038552 :D
