1. I am glad that you did
That was really the most awful thing I have ever read. Thank you for enlightening some of us that may not have known this otherwise!

3. People are willing to take the word of the Canadian Fishing Dept?
Why don't we just take Bush's word on Iraq.

And I LOVE this from their website:

Myth #3: Seals are not independent animals when they are killed - they still rely on their mothers and can't even swim or fend for themselves.

Reality: Only weaned, self-reliant seals are hunted after they have been left by their mothers to fend for themselves.

The vast majority of harp seals are taken after more than 25 days of age, after their white coat has moulted. Harp seals have the ability to swim at this stage of development. They are also opportunistic feeders and prey on whatever food source in readily available to them.

That's right. They've led a full, long life at 25 days old. And they prey on ANYTHING! If a seal got the chance, he'd eat you and everyone you loved. And I don't give a shit if "most Canadians support the seal hunt". Most Americans supported the war at one time. It just shows that there are self-centered jackasses everywhere.

7. Yes I noticed the government sources being provided as
proof of facts...LOL. Sometimes I wonder about some of our Democratic friends when I see such a lack of compassion.

I weighed in on both Seal Hunt threads (the other's in LBN).

5. The easiest way to say that we aren't killing baby seals
Is by redefining "baby."

Much like we've redefined someone with whom we disagree as a "terrorist."

Whatever it takes to make the brutes feel better about themselves.
