PETA and grape juice
So, the next time someone (here or elsewhere) suggests that PETA is ineffective or "over the top" then you can feed them this:

Yeah, that's right, love them or hate them, PETA once again makes a big difference.

1. Yes, I read that, too. And that was exactly what I thought...
...Everyone ought to reinforce Welch's on this decision by letting them know we appreciate it...

2. I have a bottle of POM in my fridge
I can't believe this. x(

Honestly - who would have thought that a JUICE company would be doing stuff like this? I had already been expecting it from cleaning products, cosmetics, etc., manufacturers and have been buying accordingly, but fruit juice?!?!

Thanks for this link. You can bet I'll be writing them.

3. Our local organic grocery store sells POM....
...I'm going there tomorrow to speak with the owner about this, and to encourage him to drop them. I'll see what happens, but he has been very responsive in the past.

4. Good idea
I'll have to check if any of the health food stores here carry the stuff and ask them not to if they do.

5. That is a good idea
I bought mine at our local co-op. I'm sure they have no idea either. I just showed this to my SO, and he too was shocked by this.

7. Who would have thought?
Juice companies torturing and killing animals so they can make "heart healthy" claims on their products.

I'm continually amazed at what corporations will do for a few extra bucks, though I shouldn't be.
