Researchers at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute have furthered the body of research that proves cranberries are effective at preventing and treating urinary tract infections. What they found echoes a common scientific motif: when we attempt to isolate the "healthy" molecule, we get less than expected. The cranberry juice in its entirety is more effective than the proanthocyanidins (PACs) extracted from cranberries.

but I OD'd on cranberry pills trying to cure a UTI last week.

Wreaked my stomach for days in a very unladylike way. Spent a great deal of time in the potty and ran out of toiletpaper if you get my drift. A week of antibiotics was required anyway.

Stick with the juice ladies.

Oh and they don't call it honeymoon cystitus for nothing. Yay! :P
