I never realized the plane of our solar system was nearly perpendicular to the plane of the galazy.

5. I miss that especially the spectacular view of
the Milky Way. I grew up in the Atacama Desert at eleven thousand feet altitude and sometimes you felt you could pick the stars and planets out of the sky because they seemed that close. We could also see the brighter stars and planets during the day because the thin air made the sky a deep blue even at noon.
