Record-breaking galaxy found at the edge of the Universe
The record for the most distant object in the Universe ever seen has been smashed: a galaxy has been found at the staggering distance of 13.1 billion light years!

Gives you an idea how old this really is. How it appears today, may be completely different to what it is today. It took 13.1 Billion years to for light from the Galaxy to get to earth, so it has changed since then.

For example, The Milky Way Galaxy, the Galaxy the earth is in, is no younger then 13.2 billion years old (This is the age of the oldest known found space object in the Milky way).
