Baby Cephalopods (cute)

These cephalopod babies are about the same size as the head of the dissecting pin, which is even smaller than a regular sewing pin. They are of the species Loligo plei, not Architeuthis dux.

3. I helped my red earred water turtle, Oscarina, bury her eggs in the sand and when they hatched
they were the cutest babies I had ever seen. About an inch in diameter and a carbon copy of their parents. I loved to watch them scurry under lettuce leaves in their pond.

4. About Ten Years Ago,
I was eating tapas in Barcelona, and swaw a "pulpito" salad on the menu. Knowing that pulpo means octupus, I ordered it. When it arrived, I found to my dismay that the "-ito" meant that they were whole baby octopi, complete with heads and eyeballs. I couldn't bring myself to eat it.
