I have a man crush on James Randi
TEDtalksDirector — April 20, 2010 — Legendary skeptic James Randi takes a fatal dose of homeopathic sleeping pills onstage, kicking off a searing 18-minute indictment of irrational beliefs. He throws out a challenge to the world's psychics: Prove what you do is real, and I'll give you a million dollars. (No takers yet.)

1. What psychics do is very real
They give people hope, and hope is real. Just like religion.

Why should he care what gets other people through the night? Some flavors of hope are harmless.

3. Not sarcastic.
Some flavors of false hope are harmless. If someone is cheered by thinking they're going to Heaven, who am I or James Randi to tell them they're not?

Just keep it away from me.

6. Heh, no I don't believe in that crap.
An acquaintance is, and she's doesn't give advice about health, anything negative. She gives Lotto numbers, which if you're going to play anyway is pretty harmless.

She helps believers have a positive outlook (she's successful because of that). I can't find too much wrong with that.
