Feynman 'Fun to Imagine' 1: Jiggling Atoms
Edited on Fri Mar-12-10 12:36 PM by amyrose2712
Physicist Richard Feynman thinks aloud about atoms and how they jiggle, and how we perceive that jiggling as 'hot' and 'cold'. From the BBC TV series 'Fun to Imagine'(1983)

Just thought I'd share. I love how giddy he gets talking about "jiggling"

2. Indeed....
His lectures are very nice. About 14 years ago or so, they (many of them, at any rate) were released on cassette tape. Whenever I had a long drive, I would just pop in a Feynman lecture and listen while driving. It was interesting as one can easily hear the chalk strike the blackboard as he writes. After a couple of times (or so) of listening to any individual tape, it was possible to picture the equations which he wrote and explained.

He also had a very good sense of humor which manifested itself in his presentations.
