Some may have seen this - Hans Rosler on TED showing amazing ways of displaying data.

Anyone who has worked with even fairly small data sets and tried to visualize them will appreciate the power of what he's doing.

If you want, jump in at about 3:30 minutes so you can see what he's done to visualize the data, then rewatch from beginning, after you've been hooked.

3. Someone should do that data with health care access.
wait time, and health care profit and cost.

What I found most interesting is how a nation could be one dot, but when it is separated into quarters it stretches across a wider distribution.

It looks like a great way to add extra dimensions to the data displays.

traditional x axis and y axis

adds

color and size, plus a sub line to show individual distribution, and then plays it as an animation to show temporal data.
