Ocean Dead Zone off the Oregon Coast

But this dead zone is different. It is not due to pollution of the water like the Gulf of Mexico.

It is due to strong wind currents that cause a disruption in the water and an upheaval in the nutrients - causing a zone where life cannot survive. This is the 5th year in row that it has appeared.
