Bradenton festival celebrates Paganism

The festival was sponsored by Manasota Pagan Pride and several local vendors. The third annual event was organized to promote religious tolerance within the community and to collect canned food for recent hurricane victims, and clothing and school supplies for homeless children, said Nicole Kissell, local event coordinator.

But several members of the local Christian community were at the park, voicing their concerns about Pagan Pride Day. Some called festival-goers "witches."

The Rev. Brian Royer of Harvest Chapel of Bradenton led a small group that pulled a large cross through the festival.

"It's just a statement," Royer said. "We just want people to know Jesus loves them, and he is Lord."



Sorry but what would the good Rev. Royer do if someone disrupted one of his church's events

1. I suspect that if Pagans lovingly dragged a pagan symbol through

one of his church's events, he would call the police, and rally other churches to help him protest the "witches" who tried to shove their belief system down his throat.
