Ten Commandments stand in opposition to ideals of U.S. justice and law
While only two of the ten commandments are "law" in the United States (murder and theft), there is one in particular which stands in stark opposition to our code of justice.

Exodus 20:5
...for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me.

Is this really inspiration for our ideals of law and justice? Punishing the children for the sins/crimes of the father?

1. sure, they're punishing thought crimes
via the Patriot Act. Punishing children for sins their parents might have committed is next.

2. It will be
Christians are pushing this (if you're not Evangelical and opose it, your silence condones it), it will be law and any sin would effect generations.

Anyone else think Jesus would denounce Christianity if he seen how it turned out?

5. At UU
I checked and heard what was recorded of Jesus' teachings from UU Christians. To my surprise, he was for peace, love, and understanding of other people. How did that turn to hatred and create hatred? I think he would denounce modern Christianity.
