It first appeared here in the Americas in Mexico and they were dying at a higher rate than us. They figured out that Mexicans were waiting too long to seek medical care and relying too much on traditional medicine.

Scientific medicine has been out of the reach of ordinary people so long that reliance on the local curandera is ingrained. The local curandera does a good job on people who aren't too sick.

However, once the news was put out that this flu is a potential killer, people started to use their IMSS cards and get appropriate treatment soon enough and the death rate dropped.

I don't know about the situation in the Ukraine, but I imagine it's quite similar.

I haven't made up my mind on this. I am waiting for more evidence. It could be some strange new pathogen twist that is going to plague mankind, or it may be overblown hype due to politics. We'll just have to wait and see.

I don't think there is a coverup, or, if there is, there won't be for long. If this is a huge problem, mainstream media WILL report it. We'll just have to see.
