5. I don't think it is so much the studies as the reporting that does it.

Every finding is pumped up as fact when the actual papers are very limited in scope.

In a few months, someone will publish an "on the other hand, maybe not so much" article somewhere obscure, but no one will notice and big pharma will still be raking in the dough.
