For those who are not pleased with Obama's healthcare package, there is a petition against it that can be found at the web site freeourhealthcarenow.com. At this point, the petition has alomst 1,000,000 signers. I do not know who started the petition, however, I heard about it on a conservative radio talk show.

Except if you are a RWer, of course. They do not need any logic.

Now, if you want to petition FOR single payer or some other real solution, do so. But this petition is just a little more of RW talking points. If you want no healthcare, please sign it.

you said you listen to conservative radio talk show. Personally, I will be VERY please to see everyone in the USA afford medical coverage and medications they need. I thank God for President Obama for wanting this for all citizens. The insurance companies and drug companies are making loads of money and that's all that matters to them. For those who are not pleased with Obama's healthcare package, there is a petition against it that can be found at the web site (see OP). At this point, the petition has alomst 1,000,000 signers. I do not know who started the petition, however, I heard about it on a conservative radio talk show. I agree that there would be too much government control of our healthcare. I also personally believe that the current health care plan would cost the government too much money, and cause some employers to lay off full time people and hire part time people in order to get out of paying beneifts if they were forced to provide health insurance. I know the health care system needs to be reformed, however, I don't think this is the right way to do it.

There appears to be an effort to get this out to as many blogs sites as possible. It is aimed at the uninformed.

If we could get health care insurance into the public sector (like Medicare for all) and free the employers from having to provide health care insurance, there would be a rapid expansion in small businesses and employment in general. This would lead to a rise in tax revenues which would go along way toward paying for the program. If business taxes had to be raised to fully fund it, I'm sure the amount would be nothing compared to what employers have to pay now for health care insurance for their workers.
