the "greatest health care system in the world", but it keeps cutting off the part where they
must be saying "as long as you have enough insurance to cover it or cash to pay for it."

Unless, of course, the part that they're cutting of is "for generating profits for insurance and pharmaceutical companies".

What it is not is "the greatest health care system for all residents of the USA", because it thrives on excluding many of them.

1. The French and the Italians have the best
health care systems.

This is the main problems with health care in the United States: It is profit driven. It is not about caring for and healing the sick. It is about money.

3. it's amusing ... you hear we have the greatest health care system ... and you hear
attacks on other systems' health care ... by anecdote ...

but you don't hear the long list (and they are there) of "anecdotes" of medical mistakes and the long waits for NECESSARY health care (due to "bureaucracy" and accountants within the current health care system the US uses).

What should be done is a commercial where all these "medical mistakes" and "long waits to the point that the person dies before the appt." are addressed ... and near the end of the commercial, it's said "Is this from the 'socialist' healthcare system of France? England? X? Nope ... this is from the 'capitalist'-preferred U.S. health care system ..."

4. Too bad so many of our elected officials....
the ones who have the power to make it the "greatest halth care system in the world", are blinded by all the dollar bills waving in front of their faces!
Too bad those elected officials have forgotten, if they ever really knew, that they are in office to serve the people...not the insurance companies or any corporation.
Too bad our elected officials feel the most important thing that needs to come out of "health care reform" is preservation of the status quo.

5. "If it's so great, why isn't it being imitated all over the world?"
That's what somebody needs to say next time they hear that BS line repeated again.
