1. And I say this should be stopped.
It will make the nutrient value of veggies zilch, or close to it. Thanks again, FDA, that's using the ol' bean!

2. That's false.
And there is no science to support that allegation.

You shouldn't spread fear just because you don't understand an issue.

3. That's not true
Irradiation has been found to reduce, in minimal amounts, certain vitamins in food. Particularly affected are vitamins A, C and E, and thiamin (vitamin B). Researchers have found, however, that the depletion generally is less than that caused by cooking, canning or freezing.

4. Stop it with your silly facts!
We all know that "facts" are put out by Big Ag just to misinform consumers!

8. Well, admittedly, the facts do get in the way of the fear-mongering
But why bother with fear-mongering when we can just use focused microwave beams on the left temporoparietal junction to instill paranoid thoughts directly in the subject? It's much cheaper, especially since Dell, Gateway and all the other PC manufacturers have been including ultra-miniaturized remote-activated magnetrons in all their monitors since 1998. Which reminds me, it's time for the daily irradiation of the truthers...

5. Idiot!
You don't know your posterior extremities from a hole in the ground. Irradiation has zero effect on the quality of the food. Go back and check again.

It does however extend the shelf life and kill unwanted pathogens.

6. Not true. Irradiated beans are a slap in the face for small boys and uncles everywhere.
Gas production is measurably reduced.

7. There is nothing to support that allegation
However, I'm sure the field of studying the effects of ionizing radiation on cells that are no longer living is wide open. Perhaps this could be a good career move for you.

Bacteria and insect eggs and larvae on the fruits and veggies are living, though, and the effect of ionizing radiation on them is profound.

Besides, you've been eating irradiated food for decades. Herbs and spices in this country have been irradiated since the 80s. Unless you grow and dry your own, you're eating irradiated ones. It's the law.

13. All food coming into my facility is gamma irradiated
To keep pathogens out. Nutritional analysis has shown time and again that there is very minimal, if any, impact.
