GOP Digs In To Fight Washington State Gay Rights Bill
http://www.365gay.com/newscon05/04/040605washRts.htm

Republicans in the Washington state Senate, aided by two conservative Democrats, have derailed a gay civil rights bill.

Using a procedural vote they will send the legislation to the Senate Judiciary Committee where it is likely to die. The surprise move came during floor action Tuesday on what was considered to be noncontroversial bills.

The House approved the legislation last month. (story) It would prohibit discrimination against homosexuals in jobs, housing and insurance.

what bugs me the most isn't the Repukes doing this--that's to be expected but the 2 Democrats. Now what is going to happen to them? Not a damn thing! I'm sure that the Washingston State Democratic Party will continue to hit up GLBTs for donations because they're the "only party to stand up for our rights" and I'm sure some of those donations will make their way down to these two.

I can't imagine why any gay person would continue to support the Democratic Party while it's so-called leaders sit around and allow these Neanderthals to be representatives of the party.
