Anyone else ticked off by this?
Because in a song by Lynrd Skynrd, has this lyric "Go find a woman and youll find love" i wonder why no one is protesting their concerts over that.

Because the lyric is heterosexist, and that they should change the lyric.

Heck Yoko Ono changed one of her songs recently from"every man has a woman who loves him,to every man has a man who loves him"

P.S. ticked off gay.

1. There are different kinds of love, and there are different kinds of women.
And besides...

Didn't Ronnie Milsap write a song complaining, "There's a stranger in my house... somebody here that I can't see!"

Bastard must hate blind people.

"Fuck you, IanDB1! I'm BLIND, you idiot!"

6. Buy audio equipment and edit it yourself for your own iPod or for D.J.s to use at gay clubs.
Instead of becoming angry at the "injustice" of it all, turn it into a way of making money for yourself.

And then kick some my way for giving you the idea.

You may become more rich than the guy who re-edited Hollywood movies to make them more "cHristian-Friendly."

4. This is sarcasm...but your name is not?
You must be a Final Fantasy VII fan! My online name used to be "Comrade Sephiroth" back when I was a socialist.

23. That just gave me the most hilarious mental image ever.
Giant 80 ft tall photos of "Dear Leader Rufus" hanging in the Shinra Building.

Or Seph done up Che-style. I think I've got some crack for my artist friend...

7. Sure, we should do fundie tactics.
You know, like joining a forum and posting something hateful or absurd, trolling for stupid answers, then alert the Publican troops so they can use it as an example.

Concern-troll much?

10. Lynyrd Skynyrd doesn't bother me.
The accompanying cheap beer and rusted out Trans-Ams are disturbing though...

16. Well what's the context?
If he's singing to a woman, it is not heterocentric at all! Plus, you do understand that many folks are in fact hetero, so advizing them to seek love from one another is a good thing, not a bad thing!
This must be a joke of some kind. Stupid OP of the day award!

21. No, and I'm more pissed at Yoko ...
for singing (terribly I might add) "A brotherhood and sisterhood of man" to 'Imagine' at LiveAid.

Some stations won't play the entire second verse of 'Money for Nothing' because of "faggot".

22. And We Should Be Upset Why?
If we got upset at nonsense like this, we would have to be upset at almost every love song or rock song ever written. This seems pretty small potatoes next to things like Focus on the Family and the Religious Right spewing their hate. Sure, lyrics that are openly homophobic should be protested, but this is not the case here, IMO
