Central Californians - No On 8 SLO -

A friend/colleague has formed a local group to work against Prop. 8 here on the Central Coast.

As you may know, we will be facing a ballot initiative in November that would exclude same-gender couples from the right to marry by changing our state Constitution to restrict marriage to only be between a man and a woman. We need your help to defeat this initiative. VOTE NO ON PROP 8.

On November 4th, California voters will decide whether or not to write discrimination into our California State constitution. Proposition 8 threatens to eliminate the right of same-gender couples to marry.

Many groups throughout the state are organizing to defeat this insidious and discriminatory proposition. I would like to invite you to be an integral part in defeating Prop 8 by working together to educate local voters specifically in San Luis Obispo County. There will be opportunities for phone banking, precinct walking, letter writing, envelope stuffing, etc. Collectively, we can make a difference.
