More lesbians discharged in 2007
Thought this would be of interest here. Congratulations on all the weddings, and may there be weddings for all who choose someday.

"WASHINGTON — The Army and Air Force discharged a disproportionate number of women in 2007 under the "don't ask, don't tell" policy that prohibits openly gay people from serving in the military, according to Pentagon statistics gathered by an advocacy group.

While women make up 14 percent of Army personnel, 46 percent of those discharged under the policy last year were women. And while 20 percent of Air Force personnel are women, 49 percent of its discharges under the policy last year were women.

By comparison for 2006, about 35 percent of the Army's discharges and 36 percent of the Air Force's were women, according to the statistics.

The information was gathered under a Freedom of Information Act request by the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network, a policy advocacy organization."

I met this woman a couple years ago. She told me she was illegally "outed", so of course was discharged from the airforce in a typically disgusting manner.

"The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit today reinstated a lawsuit challenging the dismissal of Major Margaret Witt, a decorated U.S. Air Force flight nurse, on grounds that she engaged in homosexual conduct. The ACLU is representing Major Witt in appealing a lower court ruling that rejected the suit in July 2006."

1. This is not a surpise to me...when I lived in San Antonio...
the military would send soldiars to look at the cars in the parking lots to see if any had military base stickers on them...I am sure it is much worse now...it's a true witch hunt.
