KINKY NEWS NETWORK: CNN's Quest a very 'knotty' boy

CNN personality Richard Quest was busted in Central Park early yesterday with some drugs in his pocket, a rope around his neck that was tied to his genitals, and a sex toy in his boot, law-enforcement sources said.

Quest, 46, was arrested at around 3:40 a.m. after a cop spotted him and another man inside the park near 64th Street, a police source said.

The criminal complaint against Quest said the park was closed at the time - something Quest should have known because of all the signs saying "Park Closed 1 a.m. to 6 a.m."

Quest was initially busted for loitering, the source said. Aside from the oddly configured rope, the search also turned up a sex toy inside of his boot, and a small bag of methamphetamine in his left jacket pocket.

It wasn't immediately clear what the rope was for.

Given that this was in the NY Post, I was somewhat reluctant to post it ... but the Times' version left out the part about the sex toy in the boot and the rope.

4. As juicy as the rope and sex toy details may be, they're the ones most likely to be false.

If the Post reported them and the Times didn't, the reason is probably because they didn't exist and were Post embellishments.

Let's not forget, the Post lies about other people, like Keith Olbermann, all the time, because they hate him. They really laid it on thick and heavy when he got the powdered letters in the mail. Made it sound like he went hysterical and insisted upon going to the hospital, when it was really the police and hazmat crew who responded to his (very sensible) 911 call who forced him into it.

If the Post would lie about that, I wouldn't put anything past them. The meth story is real, but I'd bet the rope and the sex toy details are just there to pile on the humiliation.
