(Santa Fe, New Mexico) A domestic partner bill that died in the New Mexico legislature last year has had new life breathed into it and passed the House on a 33 - 31 vote.

"Domestic partnerships are just another word for marriage. It is all semantics. I believe and my constituents believe that we must protect the sanctity of marriage as between one man and one woman," said Republican Rep. Nora Espinoza.



What is this freaking sanctity? Do they REALLY beleive that thousands of people will suddenly divorce their spouses?
