Atlanta City Council closer to rebuking military's gay ban
The Atlanta City Council this week moved a step closer to officially chastising the federal government for the military's ban on openly gay service members.

"The Armed Forces are currently unable to meet their own recruiting goals, while at the same time they are preventing highly qualified and patriotic gay Americans from serving solely because of their sexual orientation," the resolution states...."

opposing 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' was approved by a council
committee on Tuesday, with only one 'no' vote.


Good idea! The resolution is "largely a symbolic gesture," but hey......you'll never win if you don't fight!
