The Laramie Project is coming to Wilson
I am really pleasantly surprised that the local college is going to put on this play. It is in March that they are going to put this on so it is a bit of a wait but it should be worth it. Small town, eastern NC, who would have thunk it.

1. I saw it performed at the Berkeley Repertory Theater.
I still have chills from the closing lines. I hope you enjoy going to it.

3. The film is great.
And I love Christina Ricci in it. I love her anyway, but she's good in this.

The difference is that The Laramie Project is performed on a minimal stage, with the actors beginning seated in chairs facing the audience. It makes you understand the power of theater that the town of Laramie, the citizens who knew Matthew, the people who were horrified and outraged at the crime, who then talk of what they know and how they wish you to know Laramie as another place than where Matthew Shepard died, create this town out of nothingness. The actors themselves were changed by the process of creating the performance, and I imagine you'll be when you see it.

4. I am going to make sure I have tissues, tissues, and more tissues
I cried to hard watching the film that I couldn't even type for hours.
