P O L L

Would the proposed state constitutional amendment banning gay marriage and civil unions discourage some businesses from moving to Virginia?

I wish they'd ask if it would discourage tourism in Virginia -- AFAIC, my last vacation, ever, in Virginia was in 2001, and I will never spend another dime in that Hate State.

4. Yes Virginia, there is a Cause
and Effect.

Not just businesses and vacations but I won't even buy off the internet if I find an address in Virginia.

The difference is, Virginia the State has to wrap up their hatred of us in pretty constitutional language pretending to defend marriage.

I can just say to the state of Virginia "I fucking hate you. I hope you get annexed by Canada". And mean it.

DISCLAIMER: No progressive Virginians were exploited or hurt the making of this reply.

5. No, not Canada!
We may NEED Canada one day! I don't want to cross the border and find Virginia there! :)

Seriously, I'm totally with you. I fucking hate Virginia. I wish we could pull out all remaining progressives, then build large, impenetrable walls around both Virginia and Utah. Let them TRY to live without blue-state tax dollars and produce. I'll be happy to sacrifice Shenandoah and Bryce Canyon for some peace.

No, wait, let me tell you how I really feel.

As far as I'm concerned, the Commonwealth of Virginia killed our friend Scottie72, as surely as if it had run him down with a truck. People can live a long time with the worst physical conditions, if they have hope. VA's draconian anti-gay legislation destroyed his hope, and AFAIC, was the final blow for him.

I fucking hate Virginia, too.

6. When I graduated
Several job search recommendations came for me to look in Virginia. Not a freaking chance.

Will it keep "businesses" from moving to Virginia? Who cares?

Will it keep any business worth being a part of from moving to Virginia? Duh.

Will it keep anyone from other parts of the country from relocating there? Only if they're worth being around.

My apologies to anyone that has to suffer through that crapfest. You make Colorado seem like a paradise (and we all know it isn't.)

7. I live in CO, and I certainly wouldn't trade.
At least our state is bigger and the whackos are spread out more.
