Hardline Islamic insurgent groups in Iraq are targeting a new type of victim with the full protection of Iraqi law. The country is seeing a sudden escalation of brutal attacks on what are being called the 'immorals' - homosexual men and children as young as 11 who have been forced into same-sex prostitution.

We want to respect religious and cultural tradition and LASTLY the rights of individuals? Our priorities are seriously fucked up.

I can honestly say that if such a thing were to start happening here, I would not wait for anyone to knock on my door. And I have a feeling I would not be hunting alone. What a horrific world those people live in, and sadder to think there are some "americans" (little "a") who think it should be that way here to, except subsitute a white "holy" fat guy for the Mullah and the Bible for Islam.

I am still seething . . . we expect this from lawlessness, and we expect it in a nearly anarchic society, but it didn't happen under Saddam, nor the random executions of people with one last name or another.

But America, this administration, sits quietly by - giving tacit approval to this policy.
