I saw a couple of good films last night

Smalltown Gay Bar is about gay bars in Mississippi of all places. It features bars in Tupelo and Meridian. Frankly, being gay in this country is uniform. In some places it is just about the same as being straight. In others it is decidedly fourth or fifth class citizenship. This film introduces us to some great gay and lesbian people. If it comes to a theater near you, go see it.

Fat Girls is nothing short of hysterical. Ash Christian directed and stars in this film. Set in a very small Texas town it features a gay senior and his heavy best friend. I won't go into all the twists and turns but both of them find guys to go to the senior dance with while having other fun adventures.
