Pressure To Drop Trans Teacher Continues In New Jersey
http://www.365gay.com/Newscon06/03/032106tsTeach.htm

A group of parents opposed to a transsexual teacher in the Eagleswood School District continue to pressure the school board to drop her.

Last month the board refused to bow to pressure and voted to retain Lily B. McBeth. (story)

McBeth took a leave of absence from her job as a substitute teacher with the Eagleswood School District last year and at age 69 transitioned. When her physical transformation was complete she petitioned the board to return to work. The board voted 41 to 1 to return her to her old job.

When a small group of a parents realized that Mr McBeth was now Ms McBeth they demanded last month that the board rescind its decision.

2. what is it to them?
How does what a human has or does not have under their skirt or boxers have any bearing on their professional abilities?

How would they know, and why should they care?

3. Just let her do her job, for goddess' sake!
What is wrong with these parents, setting an example of intolerance for their kids??

4. I can't believe this statement:
"Schnepp said that having a transgender teaching his two children violated his religious beliefs."

Give me a fu*king break. These people will make up "religious" beliefs just because they think it gives them special rights to attack others.
Hell, if I was there, I would have said it was against MY religious beliefs NOT to have a transgender teaching students of both sexes, which means I think every heterosexual teacher must be immediately fired.

6. Since HIS religious beliefs say not to let her teach...
Then we certainly must bow down to Mr. Schnepp since he is master of the universe :-P

It's against my religious beliefs to wear blue...so that teacher better follow through or I'll call Jay Sekulow!

5. I salute the school board
Sounds like some of the parents are the ones in dire need of an education.
