Anti-Gay Muslim Cleric Jailed For Encouraging Murder

A Muslim cleric who accused western leaders of being the sugar daddies of Israel was sentenced Tuesday to seven years in prison for encouraging his followers to kill non-Muslims.

Abu Hamza al-Masri, the former imam at a London mosque, was found him guilty on eleven counts, including incitement to murder, fomenting racial hatred and possessing a terrorist document. He could have faced life in prison.

In passing sentence the judge told that he helped convince his followers that they had a "moral and religious duty" to kill.
