Bush Admin Equates Gay Rights Groups With Pedophilia

(Washington) The State Department said Friday that concern over potential support for pedophilia was behind the U.S. vote to exclude two gay rights groups from membership on a United Nations panel.

"We did not vote against the group because they are a gay rights group," State Department spokesman Edgar Vasquez. "The United States remains a champion of human rights for all in the world and committed to the right of individual freedom of expression."

The department was responding to criticism that the U.S. had sided with Iran, Zimbabwe and other repressive regimes in excluding two gay rights groups the U.N. Economic and Social Council.

"I had hopes for better from you," Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., said in a letter to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice this week. (story)

Frank told Rice he was "deeply troubled to learn that the U.S. government, presumably at your direction, sided with some of the most undemocratic, anti-human rights regimes in the world" in voting against the two gay groups.

"To refuse them status, what else is it except an act of bigotry?" Frank said. Frank is openly homosexual.

They put MORE children at risk with their "agenda" because then people DON"T KNOW that the overwhelming majority of PEDOPHILES are apparently "normal" heterosexuals - usually married with children - their own or step. Many can and do have "normal" adult hetero sex. Not to mention they're usually BOYSCOUT leaders and/or CHURCH leaders and/or COACHES and/or some other "position of authority" . . .

I'd trust my sons in a room full of gay men a LOT quicker than with some het guy who is "great with kids".

2. in my opinion it`s bullshit

every incident in my town of child molesting that i can remember (i`m 59) no girl or boy was molested by a homosexual man or woman. those who were arrested were married men who were usually well respected coaches,community leaders, or business owners. these slugs molested both boys and girls which would make state dept stance ludicrous. we really know what is behind this though-the whitehouse own problems with homosexuality and their refusal to look in their closets..

4. End the Epidemic

FACT.
1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys are sexually abused before they are 18. They're abusers, for the most part, are not the stranger in the park - they are family, trusted family friends, ministers, doctors, older children, community leaders and so on.

We must learn that it is an adult's job to stop child sexual abuse ~ not the child's. We must also not accept any dialog about pedophiles from politicians who refuse to fess up to the abuse that happened in the prisons of Iraq. Child sexual abuse is an epidemic in this country and it is a disgrace that we have not ended the cycle it has become.
