Guatemalan Police murder transgender women
Here's an Amnesty International report. Four cops in Guatemala City stopped two transgender women, and shot them, one to death:

Living in SoCal, and having to put up with Latin (and Asian) homophobia and transphobia daily, I feel that this could happen here any time too.

Homophobia/transphobia in Latin American/Asian countries - and their communities in the US - are no laughing matter, and we can't just bury and ignore them in the name of political correctness anymore. The only non-homophobic Latinos I know of are Democratic politicians; the rank-and-file of the Latino community is extremely homophobic. (Remember that THEY passed California's gay marriage ban!)

1. Homophobia and sexism are deeply ingrained in Latino culture
Centuries of indoctrination in the most vile form of Christianity has not helped!
