Bitter Legal Battle Looming Over Gay Bishop Decision
http://www.365gay.com/Newscon05/11/112105rochEpisc.htm

A battle over who controls the assets of an Episcopal parish in upstate New York will likely be decided by a court.

The diocese of Rochester ordered All Saints Episcopal Church closed when it refused to turn over money because it objects to the ordination of the gay bishop in New Hampshire in 2003.

The parish owes the diocese more than 16-thousand dollars.

The election of Gene Robinson as bishop of New Hampshire was supported by Rochester bishop Jack McKelvey.

1. The money and property belongs to the diocese
according to church Canon.

This is nothing new. Several churches have tried to do the same thing.
