Extremely rare pity me thread--Pride in Denver and not going
My husband has to work this weekend and it wouldn't be the same without him, so I'm not going.

1. I'm just going to point out that carrying a sign saying HUSBAND HAS TO WORK
is a triumphant glory in itself.

8. I agree it's a bummer, but
If I missed everything I could have because my partner wasn't around, I'd never do anything. It is looking more and more like I don't have a partner any more. He insists he wants to be together, but he hasn't made a single move to show me that's what he wants yet.
After 15 years (12 of which I've essentially been alone) I'm getting ready to pack it in.
Added on edit:
My $.02; go and have fun. He won't be so keen to work next year.

(correct thread this time)

9. Sorry to hear it.
We have been homebodies this year and didn't go. Of course, just moving back here, it wasn't at the top of my list and I forgot to check when it was. It was last weekend, so I wouldn't have likely gone anyway because it was hotter than the Devil's dick. I used to love things like that, didn't care if I was hot and sweaty...now, hot and sweaty is reserved for only a few things. :)
