Santorum Reiterates Intention to Amend Constitution
http://www.advocate.com/News/Daily_News/2011/06/09/Rick_Santorum_Doubles_Down_on_Passing_Gay_Marriage_Amendment/

Rick Santorum doubled down on his backing for a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage during an appearance on CNN Wednesday night, staking his claim at the farthest end of the religiously conservative spectrum while simultaneously trying to sound libertarian.

“It’s not that we’re against anybody. People can live the life they want to live,” Santorum insisted. “They can do whatever they want to do in the privacy of their home with respect to that activity.”

But Santorum, who recently announced his campaign for president, used that keep-the-government-out-of-my-life ethos as reason to amend the U.S. Constitution, which he said would defend heterosexual marriage and all of society.

“Now you’re talking about changing the laws of the country. And it’s going to have a profound impact on society, on faith, on education. Once people realize that, they say, you know what, we respect people’s right to live the life they want to lead, but don’t try to fundamentally change how society functions by changing that definition.”

2. If he could he would also make it illegal for any woman to work,
I'm thinking. I forced myself, gagging, to skim a book he wrote a few years ago. He blatantly stated that NO woman ever needs to work outside the home, and does so only for greed. There were other equally insane and repulsive (abusive) concepts in his book, but I've forgotten them so as to retain my sanity.

I have not forgotten however his bloodthirsty mannerisms in promoting the invasion in Iraq.

I was raised Roman Catholic (though not practicing for years now), and I find his claim to Catholicism to be
a complete embarrassment and composed of philosophies that are the antithesis of what I was taught as a
Roman Catholic.

He's much more than a threat to gays; he's a threat to everyone (without money and power).

4. don’t try to fundamentally change how the Constitution functions...
by using it to restrict rights of the people, instead of restricting the powers of government.

Asshole.

(to Rick, not the OP)
