Thousands participate in Tel Aviv gay pride parade
Israeli media has reported that approximately 100,000 people took part in Tel Aviv’s gay pride parade.

In addition to the thousands of civilians who turned out for the gay pride parade in Israel today, a number of politicians attended the event to show their support for the gay community in Israel.

Kadima party chair, Tzipi Livni, spoke to the crowd. “ the tendencies of the body and heart were not political, the protection of the community is not situated within the realm of any one political group,” she said. Livini added that it is a “matter of human beings respecting the others.”

3. Absolutely
I just think some credit should be given to Israel. It is a much more open and accepting society.

4. I would say the OP itself is giving credit to Israel
While what you are doing is making a comparison to a group you wish to criticize. Those two things are not the same thing. Even if the criticism is warranted, calling a direct compliment by another name just because it contains no comparisons to 'the other' or criticism of those who are not as accepting is a very pitiful thing to do in my book. You seem to define 'credit to Israel' not on the basis of giving Israel credit for the good aspects of the society, but on the basis of including criticism of Palestine. How does that work? If I tell you you are good looking, must I also point out that someone else is not, or it does not count to you?

Religious conservatism is stupid and intolerant, whatever the religion is.
