"We all know that straight marriage is the greatest threat to our way of life. Please enunciate your reasons for opposing straight marriage! Here are some of mine:

1. Straight unions are immoral and have a corrupting influence on the rest of society.
2. It invariably leads to divorce and broken homes.
3. Heterosexuality is unnatural and undermines our families.
4. We squander millions of taxpayer dollars on straight marriage-related administrative fees.
5. It normalizes heterosexuality, giving it the implicit approval of the state. This sends the wrong message to our children!
6. If we allow heterosexuals to marry, it will lead to a general rise in heterosexuality in America.
7. Heterosexual marriage runs counter to everything America stands. It undermines individual liberties and redefines the American Family."

"Straight marriage is to blame for many of the problems facing our great nation

About 41% of marriages end in divorce. This has created a logistical nightmare for the courts and is lining the pockets of divorce attorneys everywhere.

Divorced couples are unfit as parents. Children should have TWO parents, not one. This results in crime, drug use and psychological anguish for children of divorced parents.

Straight marriage is the #1 cause of overpopulation across the globe. This has resulted in famine, pollution and energy shortage.

Straight marriage is unnatural. Men and women's dangly bits don't match. If people are allowed to marry somebody who's parts don't match, pretty soon they'll wanna marry animals. Or different races!

Straight marriage is illogical. How often have you heard "boys/girls just don't make sense!"

Straight marriages make couples miserable. So they have affairs and cheat and lie in order to escape the crushing reality of having to fall asleep next to the same person for 50 years. And everyone can agree that cheating and lying is wrong.

Some notable products of straight marriage: Hitler, Stalin, both Bushes, Tom Delay and the Olsen twins.

Someone who WASN'T born into a traditional straight marriage? Hmm...maybe JESUS?!?!?!

Straight marriage breeds hate towards all the nice normal couples that just simply love each other and want to be together. They pass these traditions to future generations."

2. Right! We Pay for Those Foster Kids from Heterosexual Homes!

I worked in foster care a few years. 99.9% of those unloved/abused/abandoned children were the product of heterosexual child abuse, from unloving heterosexual hook-ups, usually "marriages".

And we taxpayers have to foot the (expensive) bill for all this abuse, and the associated costs such as crimes by children from the state system.

And they don't want gays to be married because they want to keep those marriage-related tax benefits themselves, too???

If put to a popular vote, slavery, manadatory illiteracy, forced sterilizations, Jim Crow laws, etc. would still be the law of the land. How can you depend upon the very people who created the discrimination and abuse to vote to end it? You can't. Has to be federal intervention.
