Maine Yes on 1/Stand For Marriage Donors List
This is the temporary directory. These records will be cleaned and sorted into appropriate categories; we are presenting them in nearly "raw" form now, to meet the demand in the wake of the devastating loss in Maine.

Enjoy!

1. Interesting, thank you
Gee, the unemployed guy in Utah still had enough jack to give them $100. Hating gay people must really be important to this one.

2. In going through those lists
we're constantly amazed how many "unemployed", "retired", "homemaker" and other such people have the ability to give hundreds and even thousands of dollars to eradicate our rights. Sick, twisted bullshit.

BTW, feel free to spread the link far and wide.

5. shilling for a spouse?
or maybe afraid their employer will get hit with a boycott

I do not for one moment believe these people truly are "unemployed" or "retired" and donating out of their own pockets

6. My favorite is the "Student" in Utah
who donated $1000.00. Because yeah, students routinely have an extra grand laying around to donate to political causes:

8. So many liars in the bunch
We've uncovered so many who claim to be a "CPA" and turn out to be the CFO of the company, or who claim to be "retired" yet are currently CEO of some place. They're not only bigots but they're blatant liars.

14. Aren't they in violation of the law?
I wonder if someone ran these donors down and found out they lied. Could it result in prosecution? I assume there is some legal reason the employer info is requested.

15. Good question
Though I'm not sure the state would be interested in putting that much effort/$$$ into pursuing that, sadly.

12. How soon until the bigots start whining about being "blacklisted' or some other crap.
They alwasys do sniffle and whine when their brought to light, don't they?

Reminds me of the article I read where a woman was complaining about how her name and business was posted as being a major contributer to Prop 8. Turns out she had a gay daughter, so the decision was really "difficult", and that made it even more so.

That harpy makes my blood boil. I hope she went out of business and was forced to live on the streets because her daughter wouldn't take her nazi ass into her home.

13. Boo hoo
We aren't obligated to spend our money anywhere, let alone at the businesses of bigots who are only going to turn around and use it against us. They're free to support any ballot initiative/position they choose. Likewise we're free to do the same, and to spend our money where we see fit. They have no right to play the victim and pretend they're entitled to our gay money.

16. Knights Of Columbus - the hate group nearest most people
The KKK has a handful of members and no power in 2009, but people act like it's some evil force sitting off the port side in a cloaked ship. The Knights Of Columbus is probably within ten blocks of most Americans and is actively and openly and successfully working against the civil rights of gay Americans and promoting hate and violence against us.

20. Yep
All because the KOC calls itself a "religious organization" and pretends it's all about "charitable work". They can get away with murder because of that simple guise.

Sadly very few want to even question, let alone oppose, any "religious" organization because of the pedestal religion is put on in this society. That needs to change if we're ever going to get anywhere.
